I am Paulette and I welcome you to my website. My lovely water mill dates back to the mid 1800s and is set in 5 acres of grounds in the beautiful Quercy countryside of South West France. I purchases Salazar with my husband, Bernard, in the Autumn of 2000. Bernard was born not far from here, in Toulouse, where most of his family still reside. Having both lived and worked in the UK for a number of years, we decided it was high time for us to settle in Bernard's native France. When we first saw "Salazar", built in old stone with the splendour of its setting and grounds, we were instantly captivated by its rustic charm and natural beauty. To stand in the old mill room - with the original grinding stone and ancient equipment still in full working order - you felt that time had stood still.
