In the Salazar Grounds.... There are lots of places to relax and unwind including:- • 12m by 6m floodlit swimming pool with a solar powered shower & a terrace of 200m2 with areas for sunbathing & relaxing & nearby barbecue & dining facilities • A fitness area, petanque court, pool room and table tennis area situated next to the swimming pool • A typical French garden with its box hedging and two small lawns. The French garden is skirted by a small stream • A stroll along the banks of the mill stream will lead you to Salazar's hidden treasure - a lovely little white shingle beach with a gentle water cascade. A perfect place to take a picnic or unwind with a glass of "Coteaux du Quercy" • A fishing pool stocked with carp, chub and trout. It is a peaceful and sheltered area which attracts a lot of wildlife including kingfishers, herons and two very shy terrapins In the surrounding area.... Many activities require advanced bookings; we will be happy to help if assistance is required. Festivals and Concerts There are numerous concerts and festivals each month - please ask Paulette for an up to date list. The Montauban Jazz festival is normally held in the month of July. Walking There are many different walks from 6 kilometres to 20 kilometres and we would be pleased to supply more details on request. Rose labyrinth - Figeac (50km) Tel: 0565141220 A unique rose maze situated at a romantic chateau. Over 1000 climbing roses, both old and repeat flowering, chosen for perfume and colour. Open Easter to mid Nov 10.30 – 6pm. Animal farm - near Montaigu-du-Quercy(15km) Small zoo with over 400 animals from various countries on 6 hectares of parkland. Also has childrens play area including water toboggans, water slides etc Picnic area and restaurants.
